Definitely make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport. Have your information printed as well as on your phone. Make sure you have your smartphone ready with map apps. Make sure your phone and devices are fully charged. Give yourself plenty of time to drop off the vehicle and follow signs.

Best travel tip: Do not rent from Ace "at" the Ontario airport. Here's why: 1. You're not told you need to go to an off-site hotel for car pickup, not the car rental at the Ontario airport. The wait for that shuttle will be 40+ minutes. 2. They did not have the SUV I reserved well in advance, nor did they have it for a few customers in line behind me. 3. They did not honor the insurance purchased through Holiday Cars. 4. The customer service was abhorrent. 5. It also took forever because there was one person handling car rental pickup and drop off for a ton of customers. 6. They're not going to do literally anything to make your experience better, like even comp an extra driver. It was by far my (and my three friends') worst car rental experience ever.

It was good to preregister for the vehiclenasbit ensured the best rate, and that the vehicle was available. The web site was pretty easy to navigate and find a rental that would meet my needs. They list everything that you would need or suggest what you should get with your rental, however the insurance they offer does not carry over to thrifty. In my next rental I will still go through holiday cars.com, but will only do the reservation and the rest pay at the counter as it saves time and money.

I pride myself in comparison shopping. Holidaywas the best deal I could fine. The Ontario airport is easy in and out. Sure beats flying in and out of LAX. Have already told Prince about the easy access the Ontario airport grants you. On my next trip I will be sure to look at prices for Fox rental car. Cars were clean and comfortable. All had Bluetooth access and access to Google maps from my phone. Holiday car rental is a welcome addition to my car rental search in the future. Thumbs up to Holiday car rental and Ontario airport.

Check-in process went quickly. It was a little strange to have to take my oversized golf bag all the way down to the end of the concourse to check it in. TSA Precheck was quick and friendly. Dining options were decent. Airport was easy to navigate. There was ample seating at the gate.

We took an Uber ($7) from the airport to the Fox Rental location since I read their shuttle bus takes forever. We were there very fast with no line...it was well worth the $7 to beat the crowds!

Plan all arrangements at least three weeks in advance. Keep all paperwork for arrangements in a large envelope and readily accessable. Don't pack too much, as traveling light enables you to move more freely and unencumbered. Bring healthy snacks for travel, as you never know when a delay will happen. I was able to give an apple to a fellow passenger who had a health incident on my flight home. I was thankful to be able to do that.

We love the smallness and ease of this airport. It’s also clean and easy to find your gate. Security is quick and baggage check rarely has a line. Staff is generally friendly. It’s nice that you don’t have to get there super early. Ontario is our favorite airport to fly out of.

Make sure you have all your plans totally reserved and keep all records. Confirm any and all reservations. Check if prices went down on any of your items, i.e. Rooms, car, flight, etc. Check the weather so you know what to pack for your trip. Research activities or sites to see wherever you travels take you. Look for the numerous deals or coupons there might be offered for an activity your interested in. Know your surroundings the nearest police station, urgent care, or hospital.

Its funny now but it wasn't at the time. We had made our travel plans and then from Alaska Airlines site we made our rental car arrangements; we made these plans months before our travel date. Then I noticed we were flying into Ontario Airport, however, our car was at the Orange County Airport. I was able to contact Holiday Rental Car and change the pickup location to Ontario. Several days later my Wife's Mother was taking a turn for the worst; which is who we were going to visit, and she wanted to stay two weeks longer. Again, I was able to contact Holiday Rental Car and change our reservation dates online to include the extra weeks. When we arrived at the Fox Renta Car desk they had all of the changes and were able to include my wife as an additional driver. Bottom line, double check to see that your pickup location matches to were you're flying into. But if there is a mistake, I think most any of the changes you may need to make can be done online. The Website was a little difficult for me to navigate but I called one of the Representatives and she was able to navigate me through the site for my first change. My second change I was able to do on my own.

Get prepaid gas if you think you will be using it because it is cheaper and easier. Definitely use Fox rental simply because it’s cheaper the only catch is it’s out of car rental place but a shuttle comes to pick you up from main car rental place and drop you. It’s only 10 min to do this process to save good amount of $$.

We actually went to Palms Springs and only used Ontario as an arrival and departure city because the air fares and car rental cost are much less than using the Palm Springs facilities. The drive is only about 75 miles and takes a little over one hour.

Don't miss Ontario Mills or Victoria Gardens if you want to go shopping. There is plenty of good Mexican food around SoCal if that is your thing. Weather is usually phenomenal in Southern California but best to go in off season I think. While we were there the streets and popular destinations were so crowded (at Christmas time) it was annoying. We visited Disneyland and Universal Studios, my daughter had a lot of fun. Thank you Fox Rental Car for making my trip a little easier!

Central Location for So. Ca. Palm Sprints to the east is approx 75 mins, Newport Beach to the south is approx 60 mins, San Diego approx 2 hours. L.A. and Hollywood to the west is around 1 hour.
