Enjoy the conveniece of car rental in Hungary's Budapest

Car rental in Budapest is highly favored among tourists to explore the “Little Paris of Central Europe”. Its public transport is well-developed, but travelling by car rental in Budapest gives you the freedom and flexibility that no public transport can match. The bridges here serve as the best reference points for orientation when cruising around in a rental car, including Árpád Bridge (the longest bridge in Budapest), Margaret Bridge, Chain Bridge, Elisabeth Bridge, Liberty Bridge, Petofi Bridge and Lágymányosi Bridge. Despite those orientation points, it is still important to bring your GPS device or rent one with the company of your car rental in Budapest when driving across downtown. For example, in most of the crossings of the inner ring road or on the main avenues you cannot turn left. You can rent a car and head north to Eger, a small and charming historic town, situated between the Mátra and Bükk mountains. Or drive to Esztergom, where the biggest basilica of Central Europe is located. If you fancy a relaxing day in the nature, then drive east to Gödöllo , a town full of parks and home to Grassalkovich Kastély, a former Royal Palace.

What you should know when you park your rental car

As a major city in Central Europe, parking in Budapest is understandably heavy. For those who travel with car hire, it's advised to park your rental car in the hotel garage and take the public transport in the city center area. There are several parking zones with different hourly fees. The minimum parking time is 15 minutes, and the maximum waiting time is from 3 to 4 hours. You can find 24 hour multi-storey car parks below the Millennium Centre at V Vaci utca 25 and V Szervita ter 8. If you need to park your rental car for a longer period, then it's advisable to park your rental car in a P+R car park, which can be found at metro stations and bus terminals.

In the morning you need to climb to Gellert hill, then get down and climb again to the Castle hill, where visit art gallery and historical museum, Matiash church, and old town. The best place to have lunch or dinner is Trofea Grill near Mexico Utica metro station. The best thing to do in the evening is to visit opera.
