Canberra airport is clean and efficient. The layout is easy to follow. QANTAS business lounge very good. Car rental offices easy to find. Gates for smaller aircraft are average when compared to other major city airports. Not a busy airport so aircraft are generally able to arrive and depart on time.

Europcar only had 1 person on duty in the middle of the day on a Sunday and their computer system was down so they were working off of paper and a stack of keys. The attendant was very nice and apologetic. We did get the size and type vehicle reserved. Europcar does charge additional fees for each additional driver. We also had to allow a deposit on the credit card to cover possible insurance deductible. However, if you take full cover they will wave the deposit. All in all vehicle worked great and suited our needs. I would not say "I won't use Europcar again", but they will not be a top 3 choice.

Canberra is a nice and clean city. A government city is always fairly quite. We enjoyed the Australian War Memorial, both Government Houses and the Arboretum. Not too far, the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve is worth the short travel from town. We really liked our stay and the friendly people.
