Allow enough time - even if the car rental company are perfectly organized and ready, volume of travelers can delay something like car hire. Also listen to the rules of your hire (if it must come back full/ empty etc) and do not be afraid to ask as many questions as needed - on the whole folk who work in car hire are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and best way to leave an airport and get on the road to your destination with the least hassle.
