Frequently asked questions about car rental Trapani airport

When is the best time to book car hire at Trapani Airport?
Most of Sicily and mainland Italy are popular all year round, but mostly in the summer months. Airports are hubs for car hire as they can offer cheaper car hire rates than city locations, so try to book your car hire online and around 2-3 months in advance.
What documents do I need to bring to the car rental counter at Trapani Airport?
This varies depending on the company, but the usual documents that are required include a valid form of ID, a valid in-date driving licence, any insurance or registration documents and a valid form of payment, which is usually a credit or debit card.
Can I return my rental car to a different location than the airport where I picked it up?
Again, this really depends on the car rental company you’re hiring your car with. Holiday Cars offers one-way rentals, which means you can drop your vehicle off at a different location from where you picked it up and avoid having to circle back on yourself.

Hire before arrival. Compare prices. Make sure you have your same credit card you paid the hire with. Make sure you have your driving licence. Make sure you fill up with pe.trol before returning vehicle. If you get a parking ticket, pay it or disputeit with the authorities, hire company’s charge a lot for admin. Take photos of the car when you collect it and return it, in sufficient detail to show any damage. All these points help to remove points of argument !

From Trapani you can visit charming villages such as Erice, Castellamare del Golfo or close by natural reservation Riserva dello Zingaro. You can also drive a bi far and visit Marsala and ancient sites such as Valle dei Templi, Segesta, Selinunte. Reagrding the sea, there are great beaches at San Vito lo Capo area and also in the south-west (Siculiana Marina, Scala dei Turchi, Torre Salsa). There are also mountains close by. In the hills, you can visit also Corleone or Palazzo Adriano. Trapani itself isn't that interesting city to stay.

Do not plan to buy souvenirs at the airport prior your departure, only a few shops and the offer is very limited.

Well presented and laid out car rental area. Always best to try and hire a car out of busy periods as queuing and long waits are often the norm. A 5 minute walk to pick up the car, okay in coolerperiodsbutnot ideal in hot sun . Overall a very satisfactory service is provided.
